This label made me smile today. Thank you! It's such a great reminder that we have to keep our sense of humor intact. I shared it on my blog today.

It's really sad, isn't it? I understand that Brach's and all the rest of them are in it to make money, but do they even have a CLUE how difficult it is to explain to my 7 yo son that even though gummi bears look safe and should be safe based upon what they are made with, they are not???? We stick to Spanglers and Tootsie Rolls at my house. Not even remotely gummi-bear like. I wonder about Haribo gummies, though. The website tries to be helpful: "Are Haribo products peanut free?
Yes, Haribo products are manufactured in facilities that do not handle peanuts." but it doesn't go far enough for my comfort. I'd have to do some more investigation!

that should be treated as attempted murder at worst, hate crime as least. the responsible party is really not at all, and i feel sorry for that person's friends and family. certainly untrustworthy.

Hi Peanut Allergy Mom.

I saw this come through my feed and I thought you'd be interested in learning about the FoodEssentials Scanner. It provides people with the ability to scan barcodes and learn the allergen, additive, ingredient and nutrient properties of any product.

The unique advantage of our system, and of particular interest to those with food allergies, is that it considers not just the claims on the product but also every single ingredient in the product. So, even if the product has no claims, the foodessentials scanner will alert you to the presence of an ingredient that is or may be positive for a specific allergy property.

The database behind the FoodEssentials Scanner is the most comprehensive ingredient database in existence and is used by government agencies and research institutions alike. It has been in development for 5 years by our team of dedicated health professionals and with considerable input from various consumer advocacy organisations.

Recently featured in the babble.com top 50 iPhone apps for mom's list, it is presently available in itunes for $0.99 (check out foodessentials.com for a link).

We'd love to hear what you thought of our tool as we're always looking for insightful ways to improve it. Otherwise, if you have any questions or would like to take it for a test run just let me know.

Sincerely,
Anton Xavier
Founder - FoodEssentials.com

Hi,

I work for the Double A Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins Baseball Organization and we are hosting 2 allergy awareness days here at the stadium this season, specifically for kids with nut and peanut allergies. There will be designated sections which will be nut and peanut free!

One of my co-workers came across your site, it's great! I was wondering if there is anyway we could let your followers in the CT and MA areas know about the allergy awareness games we are hosting. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

My husband is in the Marine Corps, and we're stationed in California. We currently do not fly back to the east coast to visit our families because it is entirely too risky to be trapped in an airplane with peanuts being served when our son has a life threatening peanut allergy.
